BILLY MWENCHA AWARD
Recognizing organizations and individuals who have supported IIA Kenya and the growth of the Internal Audit profession, the award is named in honor of Billy Mwencha, former Chairman of the Board of IIA Kenya and a driving force behind the development of the Internal Audit profession in Kenya.

1. Billy Mwencha Recognition Award (Organizations)
This award is in honour of Billy Mwencha, the founding Chairman, Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya. The Billy Mwencha Award will recognize organizations that have contributed to the advancement and growth of the Internal Audit profession in Kenya. Areas of focus include but are not limited to organizations that have found ways to engage staff for their Continuing Professional Education (CPE) or introduce innovative ways to share the expertise of the Internal Audit teams. Organizations that have supported members to develop professionally through short-term courses, long-term courses, or professional certifications will be recognized. Organizations that have shown commitment to quality processes and improvement including internal and external quality assessment will also be considered. The nominees will demonstrate contribution to the Institute and Internal Audit profession. Such support may include but is not limited to training programs and External Quality Assessments. Documents including recommendation letters and testimonials may be attached.

2. Billy Mwencha Award (Individual)
This award is in honour of Billy Mwencha, the founding Chairman, the Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya. The Billy Mwencha Individual Award will recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the internal audit profession over their careers. Contributions include but are not limited to previous service to IIA Kenya Committees, previous service to IIA Kenya Board, facilitation of workshops, presentations at conferences, service to Boards and Audit Committees in the public, private sector, and not-for-profit making organizations, publications in Internal Audit, contribution in academia, research and grant writing. Nominees will demonstrate contribution to the Institute and Internal Audit profession and adhere to the code of ethics. Documents including recommendation letters and testimonials may be attached.
