TAX AUDIT, COMPLIANCE, AND ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION WORKSHOP

This workshop will enable participants to identify tax compliance activities using a systematic risk-based approach, manage their tax compliance, and understand alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms for handling tax disputes.

During the workshop, participants will examine and practice the skills needed to carry out a tax audit.

This workshop is ideal for internal auditors who want to learn the concepts, tools, and techniques to prepare for tax audits and compliance.

The workshop will cover:

  • Introduction to Tax Audit.
  • Principles behind Tax Audit.
  • Why conduct a Tax Audit.
  • Tax Audit procedures, rules, and guidelines.
  • The systematic risk-based approach in Tax audit
  • Identifying critical financial records to audit
  • ADR as a mechanism for handling tax disputes
  • Parties involved in ADR Process and their roles
  • Applying for ADR

The workshop will be from February 15-16, 2023 virtually via zoom. Charges are KES 10,000 exclusive of VAT. Members in attendance will earn 14 CPE Hours.

The Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya is an accredited training provider with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA). The NITA registration number is NITA/TRN/558(25b). Participants who are registered levy contributors can apply to NITA for reimbursement of their fees. This applies to Kenyan citizens and is subject to NITA regulations.
