1. INTRODUCTION
The East African Tea Trade Association (EATTA) is a voluntary membership organization bringing together Tea Producers, Buyers (Exporters), Brokers, Warehouse, Packers and Associates. It was formed in 1957 to promote the interests of the Tea Trade in Africa. The Association was registered as a company limited by guarantee in 2009. EATTA draws its current membership from ten countries, namely Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. The registered office of the Company is situated in Mombasa.
