Consultancy

IIA Kenya offer consultancy in External Quality Assessments (EQA) and in Enterprise Risk management (ERM) to both public and private entities across the world.

i). External Quality Assessments (EQA)

Carrying out an External Quality Assessment (EQA) for an internal audit function isn’t just a compliance exercise—it’s one of the few ways to prove that your audit function is credible, effective, and aligned with global standards.

The Institute of Internal Auditors requires that every internal audit function undergo an External Quality Assessment at least once every five years under the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF). Under the Public Finance Management Regulations Kenya, an Internal audit units must undergo a professional External Assessment at least once every 3–5 years

ii). Enterprise Risk management (ERM)

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strengthens how organizations identify, assess, manage, and monitor risks in a structured and proactive way instead of reacting after problems.

IIA Kenya offer consultancy in ERM.

  • Training and capacity building in ERM for internal Audit team.
  • IIA Kenya directly supports organizations by offering ERM consultancy services, including Designing or improving ERM frameworks.
  • Linking ERM with internal audit, Internal audit provides independent assurance on risk processes and Evaluate whether ERM is working effectively
