This Exam only tests knowledge areas not covered in CPA (K), CISA or ACCA exam curriculum.

The CIA Challenge Exam:

• Comprises of 150 multiple choice questions based on the syllabi for CPA/syllabi for CISA
• Based on the Internal Audit Standards.
• Examination time is up to 180 minutes.
• Offered in English only.
• Based on scaled scoring and a passing score of 600 is required out of 750 points thus 80%.
• Developed following best practices with the support of experts and professionals.
• Available via online testing or at a testing center.

Program Timeline

The CIA Challenge Examination is only offered in the testing windows as listed below:

Application window:

• Application: April & September

• Exam Registration: All year
• First Attempt Testing Windows for April category: June or August
• First Attempt Testing Windows for September category: November or February

The exam registration is included in the application bundled price.

• IIA Member Rates: USD 1,255
• Non – Member Rates: USD 1,625
